The embryos are transferred into the woman's uterus through a thin catheter, and the woman is then monitored for signs of pregnancy. Pregnancy test: Approximately two weeks after the embryo transfer, a pregnancy test is performed to determine if the IVF process was successful. Overall, the IVF process can take several weeks to complete, and it can be physically and emotionally demanding for those involved. However, for many couples who have struggled with fertility issues, IVF can be a life-changing solution that helps them achieve their dreams of starting a family.
